You could have lunch in any of the "Lolos" located in the heart of Grand Case. Also any of the beach restaurants on Orient, most all serve excellent sushi.

The boutiques in Marigot are closed daily for lunch and closed all day on Sunday.
The boutiques in Philipsburg do not close for lunch but the bigger ones like Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger are closed on Sunday.

Petite Plage - Grand Case

Located just down the footpath from the hotel. If you take a right on the road it will take you to the Grand Case Beach Club. You can either enter through the gate saying that you are going to the Sunset Café or continue up the road to the public entrance. You can rent chairs and umbrellas at the Beach Club: $25 for 2 chairs and an umbrella.

Grand Case Bay

Located just down the footpath from the hotel. If you take a left on the road it will take you to Calmos Café where you can use their beach chairs and umbrellas for free if you eat lunch with them. A cool place to hang out at night too! We like Zen It too which is just a few steps down from Calmos and LOVE which is a bit further down the boulevard. Please also feel free to go to our sister hotel, Le Petit Hotel. At Le Petit Hotel you have full access to chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, kayaks and paddle boards.

Orient Beach

St. Martin's most famous beach. Clothing optional at the far end. The best for watersports and beach bars. We like Palm Beach for the more mellow Orient experience.

Le Galion Beach

Very calm, like one giant sandbar, a perfect beach for kids. At the other end there is a surf break and an outfitter that rents boards.

Happy Bay - Friar's Bay

Walk over from Friar's Bay to enjoy the peace and tranquility of this unspoiled beach.

Dawn Beach

Great for snorkeling on calm days and for body surfing on rough days. The new Westin is located there and has a yummy Sunday brunch.

Baie Rouge

A really pretty beach located in the lowlands. A long stretch of sand so you’re sure to find a private spot. At the far right of the bay, there is some of the best snorkeling on the island; pretty colored coral formations!

Plum Bay

Great snorkeling here as well. You can also take a long walk around to Baie Longue to admire the beautiful villas.

Mullet Bay - Cupecoy

A long stretch of powdery, white sand. At the far right there is good snorkeling.

Pinel Island

A true island paradise! Catch the 5 minute ferry which runs to and from Pinel all day long. Beautiful clear water, a white sandy beach and a great lunch at Eric’s Karibuni. Don't miss the grilled lobster and chocolate cake.

Friar's Bay Beach Café - Friars Bay

Beach chairs are complimentary when you dine with them.

L'Ile Flottante - Grand Case

At the beginning of Grand Case Boulevard. A full breakfast: eggs, pastries and good coffee.

Coco Beach - Orient Bay

A great choice if you want to jump start your beach day.

Crousti Bread - Grand Case

Delicious baked goods and take-away sandwiches to pack for the beach.

Baywatch - Orient Bay

They will cook you up typical American fare.

You can get great deals on electronics here. We recommend Boolchands on Front Street in Philipsburg. They have a great selection and the salespeople are very knowledgeable and helpful. You can also try Klass which is next door to Boolchands.

The Marigot Market - Marigot

Wednesday and Saturday mornings are when you will find the very traditional Caribbean market taking place. It is a fun place to go to immerse yourself in the local culture, to take pictures and to stock up on some local fruit, vegetables, fish and spices. The earlier you go, the better. The craft market takes place every day.

Jewelry Shopping - Philipsburg

The jewelry stores on Front Street in Philipsburg come a dime a dozen and it can be very intimidating for a first-time shopper. We highly recommend Shiva's, owned by the Alwani family. Ask for Jay and if you tell them that we sent you, we can guarantee that you will be well taken care of!

Butterfly Farm

Located on the road to Le Galion Beach. A fun thing to do on the way to the beach or on a rainy day. The staff is very knowledgeable and will take you on a guided tour. If you go early enough in your trip you can go back for free as many times as you like. Mornings are the best to see the butterflies hatching. Bayside Horse Riding Stable is right next to the farm and their beach rides are a fun thing to do as well.

Loterie Farm - Pic Paradis

Located on the way up to Pic Paradis. Day or night, this place is not to be missed. Wear good shoes because you may be inspired to hike up to the top or to experience their spectacular fly zone! Or, you can simply chill by their gorgeous pool and indulge at their fabulous restaurant, The Hidden Forest Cafe which is open Tuesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner. Loterie Farm is a nice change from the beach... the other St. Martin!

Octopus Dive Center - Grand Case

Octopus Dive Center, located right here in Grand Case, is a nice, convenient, little dive center offering a variety of dive options. They do dives daily at the various dive sites that St. Martin/St. Maarten has to offer. They also offer a "discover scuba diving" dive, night dives and a PADI open water certification course.

The one course on the island is located at Mullet Bay.
